At their most fundamental level, soft PVC granules are produced by blending polyvinyl chloride resin with plasticisers (typically DINP or DOTP for toy-grade applications), heat stabilisers, lubricants, pigments, and functional additives. The resulting compound is then pelletised into uniform granules that can be fed directly into calendering lines, extrusion blow-moulding machines, or high-frequency welding processes to produce finished inflatable toy products.

Hardness is typically formulated at 50–65 Shore A, with a minimum elongation at break of 250%, ensuring the product can withstand rough handling without puncturing.
Inflatable Castles & Commercial Play Equipment: Requiring heavier-gauge PVC film (0.4–0.9 mm), these products demand granules with high tensile strength (>15 MPa), excellent cold-resistance (down to -20°C), and UV stabilisation for outdoor use. Fire-retardant additive packages are increasingly required under BS EN 14960.
Promotional & Advertising Inflatables: Brand mascots, giant product replicas, and event arches require PVC granules with exceptional printability and colour-matching accuracy. Digital-print-compatible surface finishes are achieved through specific lubricant and plasticiser selection at the compounding stage.
